This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units. American Heart Association CPR Certification is required for all Medical Students/Providers as well as CPR Renewal Classes every two years.

American Heart Association CPR Classes Include:
• Key changes reflecting the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. 

• Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions,

use of a bag-mask device and use of an (AED) for the Adult, Child and Infant Populations.

• Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest.

• Basic Airway management.

• Choking Relief for the Adult, Child and Infant.

Effective communication as a member and leader of a Basic Life Support team.
